I know, I have a black eye....people were staring at me in Sainsbury’s today..
It’s 5-45 pm here....the shock has subsided and I’m feeling much better.
Thanks again everyone for the well wishes.
It’s so nice that you all care..makes a big difference in the getting better process.xx
Just smile back and say "you should have seen the other person!"
That should stop the staring I reckon.
Good that you are getting over the shock, it's worse for some reason when older. I used to deal with things much better when younger but not these days, unfortunately.
So glad to hear you're feeling much better today Paula. You wear that shiner with pride gal - pretend you're the best kick boxer or something and give people who stare that 'what you looking at me fer?' look, while rolling up your sleeves

When I had a face fall I took 3 days off work , my face was black and blue and puffy eyes . My work was reception and people would try not to stare but I would just say I had a nasty fall . Sometimes concerned looks and other times embarrassed.
You should see my battle scars, of which I have many on my face, hands and arms. Most of them are burns due to carelessness on my part. I don't bother to put make up on, I have never liked the feel of it on my face.

I plastered on the make up...without it,it looks like my thigh at the side ...that took the brunt as well...

That is pretty.
I was daft enough to go up the bridle path at the back of our house in November a couple of years ago after heavy rain. I slipped over and broke my shoulder very badly, my arm looked as pretty as your thigh.
