The flowers are only just starting to open Janela, I'll take a photo in a few days time.

Re: Azalea.

One of my azaleas is also starting to flower, I leave it in the garden all spring and summer and bring it indoors for winter ....

Looking forward to seeing yours, Alan....

Re: Azalea.

Have you seen my magnificent Rhodedenron in My Profile piccy's? Still can't quite manage to post it into a thread! It was my pride and joy when it bloomed earlier this year.

Oh you are clever Mags - thankyou for doing that.
It's a lovely plant isn't it. It's rather special to me.

Re: Azalea.

Beautiful plant Jean. You are lucky to be able to grow azaleas, rhodedenrons etc, I love them but our soil is just wrong. I have grown them in pots but they eventually get too big.

Re: Azalea.

Apparently you can buy rhododendrons and azaleas that are grafted onto rootstock that will grow in any soil.
So theoretically we can all grow them now, regardless of our soil
Lovely pictures, makes me want to buy one myself.
