Oldbugger

This is Susan, Jim's wife.

Jim had asked me to inform this forum should anything happen to him.

This afternoon my husband collapsed and is now in hospital unconscious on a ventilator. The doctors have determined it to be a stroke.

They cannot say at this moment how severe it is nor what to expect, but apparently he is stable which I suppose should be reassuring.

I know you may not all be Christians, but please - if you can - pray for him.

Jim is a strong man and with God by his side I know he will pull through, but as I'm sure you will understand this is a very upsetting time for his family so I may not be able to update you as much as he would have liked.

Regards,

Sue.

Re: Oldbugger

Hello Sue thank you so much for letting us know about Jim .
It must have been a horrible shock for you

I really can empathise having once been in a similar situation. When my husband was in hospital I talked to him constantly about anything and everything although I was told it was unlikely he could hear me . He regained consciousness after 4 days. He told me later he was full aware of my talking to him but was unable to respond.

Try to stay positive Sue wishing Jim a speedy recovery, you will both be in my thoughts.xx
