failure to understand anger over Brexit

The Loyalist Communities Council (LCC), an umbrella group representing loyalist paramilitaries seeking an end to the violence, stated:

“The LCC can confirm that none of their associated groups have been involved either directly or indirectly in the violence witnessed in recent days,” it said.

But the LCC said there had been a “spectacular collective failure” to understand their anger over Brexit and other issues, and the border protocol must be renegotiated. Critics of the departure deal’s (withdrawal agreement) Northern Ireland protocol say a border is in effect in the Irish Sea, leaving unionists feeling betrayed.

In hindsight the backstop negotiated by theresa may would have prevented the present riots.

Re: failure to understand anger over Brexit

Northern Ireland was always going to be a stick to beat the UK with, that is why the EU is trying to enforce the protocol to it's maximum severity, just to punish the UK for having the temerity to decide it's own future, but it's actually at the expense of people's lives in the province.

The EU has behaved like a petulant child since we left their clutches, making things as awkward as possible for everyone, including their own citizens, just for political spite.

Just as their vaccine program has been dire, they try to cover their own incompetence by seemingly blaming the UK for all their ills, when the truth is their own lacklustre performance has been a travesty for their own citizens, who have been sacrificed on the altar of their stupidity.

It appears they are now even refusing to abide by international contract agreements in their panic to increase vaccine stocks, but in effect this is nothing short of common theft from the parties that had the foresight to invest in the manufacture and supply of stocks months before them. They were even offered an opportunity to share the expense but refused!

Their reputation is poor now, but after this debacle I wonder why anyone should ever want to do business with them ever again. They are a complete and utter shower.

Is there any wonder we wanted to leave...

You seem to forget it is farage's preferred wto rules that require a customs border between countries. The provisions the wto rules offer are single market and customs union. Originally brexiters wanted that, but the ERG ordered boris to have that scrapped.

Present problems are self inflicted by the UK

The customs border does not need to be a hard border though. If you understood that then you might get someone agreeing with you.

Currently nobody does and there's a good reason for it. You have absolutely no idea what your talking about and your only purpose on here is to try and wind people up by lying to them.

If the EU was such a great place you would become an EU citizen and give up your dual nationality. You don't though and there's a reason for that too.

Oh, but the EU understands. That is why they agreed with a customs border in the irish sea. It is brexiters seeing how that works.

I'm in good company with that. Farage has dual nationality, stanley johnson has organised it for himself and grandchildren (= boris' children).

AND

Brexit vote sparked surge in Irish passports issued in Great Britain

Figures show more than 420,000 applications were made from 2016-2020

But Farage lives in the UK... and Stanley Johnson is a remainer - this is about you not everyone else. Your the one who is evangelising the European Union. Your the EU fanatic living there already there but won't commit 100% to EU citizenship.

That's because your not even convincing yourself its a good idea, and you aren't convincing anyone on here either.

That pretty much sums it up.

Wrong. Farage lives in germany, and why not?

It is a right, I'm free to exercise, just like those 420.000 brits requesting an irish passport.
