Here Come the Remainers Again

Looks like Gina Miller has managed to blag some more money from George Soros and the likes.

The timing coincides with the publication of a number of reports from pro-Remain lobby groups including the left-wing Another Europe Is Possible campaign and the relaunch of the organisation, Best For Britain, founded by notorious anti-Brexit campaigner Gina Miller.

From the EU’s point of view there is not much to renegoatiate here, pacta sunt servanda.

Some people may remember that not so long ago Boris Johnson the great magician, a self-appointed master of the deal, celebrated the outcome of his negotiations with the EU from which Britain will prosper mightily as a great success and presented his triumph to the legislature.

The nationalist European Research Group (ERG) declared the agreement to be UK "sovereignty-compliant" following scrutiny from its lawyers. Tory MPs and most of Her Majesty’s offical opposition happily fell into line behind Prime Minister Boris Johnson. After a debate of just five hours the 1200+ page legislation duly sailed through the House of Commons and the House of Lords before being given Royal Assent.

MPs not only allowed this procedure to take place but humiliated themselves to be part of this unprecedented farcical scramble - an absolute travesty of parliamentary democracy. A dereliction of duty the results of which will haunt the country for many years, especially those who will have to live with the consequences.

The knowledge that your signature, unless you can later claim insanity, makes a contract valid and cannot be altered unilaterally isn’t new and certainly isn’t rocket science – come to think of it maybe an admission of insanity might be a loophole Johnson can try.

Re: Here Come the Remainers Again

The number in the UK who want EU membership is falling not rising so it's a bit pointless since - no matter what happens now - we are now out of the EU and the public are extremely unlikely to ever again vote to return.

Hardly surprising really, considering the EU's attitude towards the UK and their (ahem) failures.

"A poll by JL Partners/Bloomberg today showed 67 per cent of Britons thought the EU had acted in a “hostile” way during the vaccines dispute, while only 13 per cent said the bloc acted like an “ally and a friend”.

"The poll also revealed that almost one-in-five people who voted remain in the 2016 referendum would now vote to leave due to the EU’s actions."

If I remember correctly, the EU is an institute for peace (churchil said that those who trade do not fight).

Now look at the UK. Hardly out of the EU for four months and the UK is fighting in northern ireland. Just like little children!

I understand you fighting everything EU. Like in the cold war, some people need an enemy they can blame for anything. But brits fighting brits? No, I don't understand that. Pure barbarism.

We don't fight everything EU. It only looks that way because of how the EU behaves.

Each day that goes by is nothing but embarrassment and public humiliation for the commission. The comparison between the UK and its performance and that of the EU is quite clear. Your failed ideological project looks like a mafia cartel tearing itself apart from the inside.

You're right. You did, but you lost. That's why you were expelled!
