Wrong way round old chum but I suppose that's your illogical hatred of our country coming to the fore again.
We in the UK expelled the EU.
It's the UK that voted on our EU membership if your memory can take you back that far, not the EU.

Hi

We voted leave, it really is as simple as that.

It was our choice.

Yes, and you had to use a EU rule (article 50) to do so! What irony!

A rule formulated by the UK's Lord Kerr of Kinlochard.

How ironic indeed that the EU couldn't even manage that because they could never imagine anybody wanting to leave.

You have to admit, it was used only once, by the same brits that instigated the article. But it makes him the perfact candidate to write up a UK constitution. Will be very helpful when you apply for re-admittance to the EU. All civilised countries have one.

You're just scared because all the signs are lining up for more to follow.
All that remains is the question of just who will be next.

I'd be very surprised if the whingeing remoaners aren't still demanding we re-join in twenty years when the EU has fallen apart.

The EU evangelists still don't understand why we voted leave.

Because they knew they would lose a shed load of money. Now, the insignificant countries such as The Netherlands have to pay for themselves. What a shame.

I know it must be difficult to grasp, but what makes a country remain in a union costing money, unless there is a gain. E.g. compare that with scotland which bleeds money into the coffers of england and gains nothing. Right, they want out!
