Here's another one of another MEP chosen by EU citizens that you're not going to like either; they're mounting up Solly.
The emotion is coming from your own MEP's that dislike the way your own EU has handled things.

"'UK humiliated us!' Italian MEP apologises to Brexiteers in farewell EU debate"
"ITALIAN MEP Antonio Maria Rinaldi was forced to apologise to Brexiteers on behalf of the EU after a series of attacks in a final Brexit deal debate in the European Parliament this morning."

No more shooting of innocent messengers.

So far that's a Danish MEP; a French MEP; and now an Italian MEP all supporting the UK and condemning the EU.
There's no wonder Solly & his chums are being vocal in this forum, is there?

That was the whole point of leaving.
The UK asked for the trade deal Von der Leyen now advises to be ratified by europarliament. So it directly concerns the UK.

"Contempt" is the word to describe how you're using this forum and has no bearing in reality upon the way the British feel about anything other than with your own distorted interpretations.

You are after all an EU subject so it's only natural that you would behave as the EU does.

"The EU’s day of shame: Six sneering attacks launched on Britain over Brexit"

"SNEERING European politicians have launched a series of attacks on Brexit in an attempt to vilify Britain ahead of a vote to endorse the future relationship."

Well they would, wouldn't they?
Sneering is pretty much all that the vile bunch can do now we're gone from their cozy protectionist club.

Thanks, Zaphod, for quoting Antonio Maria Rinaldi's remarks and apology, saved me doing it.

With the express as source, there is no content. Have fun reading it if it makes you feel righteous.

The content is what your MEP's are telling you Solly.
Ignoring them doesn't mean they haven't said it you know; the ostritch tactic won't wash.
Since you won't learn, here's another.

"'Brexit is EU mistake' Michel Barnier in candid admission ahead of final deal vote"

'Mr Barnier said: "This is a divorce. It's a warning Brexit and it's a failure.

"A failure of the European Union and we must learn lessons from it."'

And a mistake not to be made a second time.

Trust in the European Union has increased since last summer
While the coronavirus pandemic has been impacting on European daily lives for more than a year, attitudes towards the EU remain positive, according to the latest Standard Eurobarometer conducted in February-March 2021.

The image of the EU and trust in the EU have increased and reached their highest levels in more than a decade.

Close to half of Europeans trust the European Union (49%),*after a 6-point increase since the Standard Eurobarometer of summer 2020.*It is the highest level registered since spring 2008.*Trust in national governments (36%) and national parliaments (35%) have lost ground, though both remain at a higher level than in autumn 2019.

In 20 Member States, a majority of respondents say they trust the EU, with the highest levels found in Portugal (78%) and Ireland (74%).

The positive image of the EU (46%) has reached its highest level since autumn 2009,

A pleasure.
When an MEP knows the EU are getting it so seriously wrong that he feels compelled to aplogise in their own parliament no less it's a sure sign of how divided the EU really are.
