Went on hovercraft today, it was really good although a short 10 minute trip it was well worth it, ( had been on it before but it was nearly 30 years ago) also had a walk to the d- day museum, again a long time since I'd been there but most enjoyable,

Been on the hover a few times, a great way of getting to the island.
Also a great bit of kit in military application.

As for the Isle of Wight.....many a happy weekend spent there with my wife and kid's.
We'd anchor in Alum Bay during the day, swim and play on the beach then head for The Lifeboat at Cowes for dinner.

We'd then spend the nights in the marina or, if the weather permitted, at anchor.

Those were the days.
