Local hospitals here just have a screen to log each patient in if you need a human you have to back track to main reception to find anyone.

Modern hospitals do, it is a sign of things to come, get rid of the workers is the idea. Trouble is when things go wrong god help us.

Have to say if seems to depend which hospital you visit, two of ours locally are pretty good with really nice reception staff but the other one you could bleed to death in front of them and they would say it wasn't their job to deal with you.

I don't like them or agree with them, they are taking peoples jobs away. More folk on the dole being nagged at to get a job..
