I got mine from a local farm cooperative,I used it to do my decking frame,doesn't smell like it use to though.

I use a home made mixture on my fencing now that creosote is denied to me (you can only buy it 44 gallon drums).

2 litres old engine oil
1 litre Diesel
1 litre Kero (paraffin to you I think)

Termites treat it as an hors d'oeuvre but I don't think you have that problem. It keeps wood from drying out and is cheap to make.

The bloke opposite me (long deceased) used to paint his fence with old engine oil each year but this mixture soaks in better in my opinion.
