We have been in the EU for over 40 years, things are very different now.
Back then I was working the Suffolk Ports, no paperwork, no entry.
Easy Peasy.
No problem. No checks as far as we're concerned.
The EU can impose checks, by all means.
If the IRA don't like it, let them take the matter up with the EU.
If the Irish-Americans don't like it, let them take the matter up with the EU.
If the WTO don't like it, let them take the matter up with the EU.
I don't see why we should be dictated to by everyone else, now we're finally shaking off the shackles of the EU.
Of course, there is another benefit.
If Eire doesn't like being out on a limb and paying us to transport goods the easy way - through the UK - they can follow us out of the EU. Problem solved.
The EU is going to collapse anyway; many people think so.
