Note that the document stated Flemish fishermen! Belgium, as a country, didn't exist until 4th October 1830. I know the Flemish are part of Belgium but, I would like to see the BELGIANS try to see this through the courts. (This is just like Argentina claiming the Falkland Is belong to them but Argentina didn't even exist as an independent country when we took control of the islands.) In any case, do the Flemish have 70 boats of the size used back in 1666? And how many fish did they catch in those days?Re: Charles 2nd gave our fish away !!!

Here's a direct quote from the story in today's D Express on line: "And in the case of a no deal scenario, the government of Flanders plans to fall back on a treaty issued by England's King Charles II in 1666 that grants 50 fishermen from the Flemish city of Bruges "eternal access" to British waters."*Re: Charles 2nd gave our fish away !!!
