Plenty of legal places to fly them here.

Actually I just remembered - I do have one in the house, my grandkids were given a $135 one for Christmas no camera though. They have done their best to destroy it but it is surprisingly hardy the only problem with this cheap one is that the battery only lasts about 5 or 6 minutes.

The only warning of battery failure is that the lights on it start flashing and you have about 30 secs to get it home and land it before the battery protection cuts in and it plummets. Sophisticated it is not.

Yes there are drones and there are ‘drones’

Re: Drone

I have seen a couple of drone videos of my area on Youtube only to be disappointed because of course, they cannot film over my house and garden, which is what I wanted to see.

Re: Drone

Only this morning I’ve had another 2 enquiries for drone at wedding events so whilst many in here obviously think them silly others pay for them

Re: Drone

I don't think drones are silly I think they are extremely dangerous bits of kit that should be more heavily controlled.

Re: Drone

I think there have been some amazing films using drones, particularly wildlife.

Re: Drone

Not for me. Perhaps they are the modern equivalent of a kite with better controls?

Even as a child I wasn't interested in model boats etc. yet realise the countless number of hours of pleasure fathers and sons got out of them.

I was into stamps for a while yet never had anything of value.
