Re: James Middleton on mental health

That was an interesting article, Muddy, thank you for the link. I think a lot of people scoff at depression and just say 'pull yourself together' but it is not that simple. JMs description of it as a 'cancer of the mind' is a good one.

I agree, one of my sisters had full blown depression and it was a terrible time for the family.

Indeed let's hope Andy Murrays tears are not a symptom because he'll get no sympathy from some

Re: James Middleton on mental health

It was a serious comment muddy on a serious subject, it seems some have sympathy when it suits them but if they dislike a person they have none at all. Until we address all people equally and treat mental health of all in that way not much hope for most people.

Re: James Middleton on mental health

No it wasn't a serious comment at all .
It was trite comment because you didn't like my thread on Andy Murray.
It's was a stupid comment too .
I don't 'dislike ' Andy Murray .
I have no great feelings about him
He's a great tennis player .
He's a famous super weathly successful man with umpteen career options ahead of him .
He doesn't have a mental illness at all.
He doesn't need my sympathy in any which way .
I have sympathy for anyone who suffers from depression ( even if he's the son of a weathly man with rich in laws )
I don't know him either but I thought his article was both descriptive and sincere .

Not every comment is about you muddy. I was talking about everyone thought it ok to mock the man. We have no idea what pain anyone is in, yet some think it's ok to mock. Not just you.

Yet another serious topic down the pan .

Why don't you start your own thread to whine on instead of derailing one that I start .

Re: James Middleton on mental health

I was going to post my thoughts on the James Middleton article, but won't bother after all - the continuing personal arguments put me off to be honest.
Sorry girls.
