It's surprising just how big the stones are isn't it.

Yes it is LB, especially when you are up close to them...

I also love anything Egyptian and find it very interesting but I can't help feeling a bit sorry for the bodies paraded like that.

The recently found 50 mummies lie beneath a more modest location - through a hole in this cliff and down a narrow shaft:

When it's of no significant historical intetest like this one which s thought to be a family tomb I wish they would just photograph and catalogue it then seal it up again it seems a shame to remove them. Some look like parents and children who have laid there undisturbed for centuries.

I wonder ... does anyone in Egypt still worship Osiris, Horus, Basht and the rest?

I did hear a while back that scientists now think there is more buried inside the sphinx they have used some sort of beam and found what they think is interesting but they have not been granted permission to do more . Also in the tomb of tutankhaman there seems to he more behind a wall . They are now finding more ways of discovery

Re: Tomb with 50 mummies found in Egypt

I was fascinated to be told many years ago that the Pyramids were as old to Tutankhamen as he is to us (I hope it is true, I have never checked). That says that the Egyptian civilisation lasted a very looong time doesn't it?

Velikovsky mentions a big gap in their history in one of his books.

Well, I thought it interesting anyway.

Egyptian history doesn’t add up in reality yet it’s all there making the truth even stranger when you start to look beyond what you were taught at school
