The barstewards in government have just spent another £12 million of 'our' money in purchasing an apartment in New York for the use of a Consular official who will be negotiating trade deals.

12 mil for a classy apartment in NYC is chickenfeed.

In any case that accomadation is going to serve a consular status for a high ranking British diplomat who will have to be meeting similarly high ranking diplomats and high ranking business movers and shakers.

Fabulous view! If I won the Euromillions, I would certainly be looking at similar properties. If one wants the best, one must be prepared to pay the price. Let's hope they have picked someone more than capable of conducting trade deals to our advantage.

Seriously, UJ is right. They've squandered more of our money via secret liaisons. Nobody's abode is worth that much from taxpayers' money.
I will never vote again following this Brexit debacle and all the money tied up in tax havens and the general way politicians behave these days.
This is my final appearance in a political thread. I'll let you all get on with your going round in circles if that is your chosen way to spend your time.
