Is It Just Me

I watched a little of Arena all about the artist Sean Scully (No I'd never heard of him) His paintings sell for millions

Now what they showed you were bands of colour daubed on a canvas

Modern abstract art

Well I must say good luck to him he really has conned a lot of people IMO

A three year old could have done better I looked at the present Mrs Vaniy and she looked at me and we turned it off

I have never heard of him either but this is the sort of stuff he paints.



It doesn't do anything for me either. It could have been painted by a five year old in my opinion but some may like it.

They actually showed him painting one of these 'Master Pieces' believe me I would not let him paint our down stairs loo and that's fully tiled

there was paint everywhere and on top of that he was a total prat

They actually made a comment that he is not very well know in Great Britain

As you say, a King's new clothes moment and that can be applied to lots of artists including some of the very well know ones. I do have a laugh though at the over-rich under-brained admirers of this sort of thing. They stand and stare it this stuff for hours.

If people like this stuff then that's fine but it is what it is.... basic and childlike.
