Re: Massive seagulls

I love seagulls, they are always there when the "Chips are Down".

Re: Massive seagulls

That does not matter, as long as you also deny Gannets.

Re: Massive seagulls

I watched a couple of sea birds pecking at some food that had been dropped. First one, then the other. They were taking it in Terns.

Seagulls, Gannets, Terns, all birds of a feather.

Quite right. They are either Black-headed gulls, Great Black back gulls, Herring gulls or Lesser Black back gulls.

Re: Massive seagulls

We were staying in Jersey and used to get a large gull tap at our hotel room window every morning for food. It had a bad leg and limped around on the flat roof. We'd been asked not to feed it but it got my sympathy, so I did give it a morsel once or twice.

I often wondered if it walked properly once it was out of sight and and the limp was only to get people to feel sorry for it. Just taking advantage of our gullibility.

We have one here that's lost it's foot & part of it's leg, it seems to cope OK. That one is a Herring gull.

Just a thought....Can Herring gulls paint horses?
