Bitterly cold here too, but not quite as bad as yesterday: -5 (23 F), wind chill -11, although the winds have died down a bit and there is a little sun. Far too cold to go outside except to rescue the paper; will be a cocoon indoors day. Forecast is for more of the same in the rest of the week; oh how I hate Winter!

Well at around 8.00 am today the temperature here was -11.!!! Our local weather station says that is the lowest temperature they have recorded - ever!

Hard packed thick snow, with ice below. No gritters and 99% of grit boxes empty. Roads and pavements lethal, and no prospect of improvement, in fact it is forecast to snow some more and remain toe tingling cold.

I too hate winter!!!!!

Lovely day-sun shining and blue skies but freezing cold!!!!! Just looked out of window and snowing hard aaaaaargh!!!!! Said it before and will say it again I desperately want it to go away!!!
