Having given up work three years ago, I have eventually gotten used to my new way of life. However, one thing I continue to miss is "that Friday feeling".
Actually Tango this thread made me laugh because yesterday my daughter rang me upset, when I asked her what was wrong she said I thought today was Friday and I just realised it's Thursday!
Yes i remember that Friday feeling the best day of the week
I still like Fridays though as I gets to see my Grandkids at the weekend. ]
I like Fridays and I guess there's a "Friday feeling" there. My wife and I go shopping together and try to get everything out of the way so we have as little as possible to do on the weekend. It's usually busy but that's not a bad thing.
That feeling workers get when they know they have two days free to do what they want. If you haven't worked outside the home for years most people forget how it feels.
I don't think my husband ever had that feeling, the only day he ever took off from doing work of some kind was Christmas Day, and that was under pressure!
