Just off topic for a moment, Bes, have you been to Markham Grange? We used to go there a lot, they used to have parrots but I don't think they do anymore.

Sorry Tabs, back to topic

Not yet, LQ
I have had a Parakeet land on my shoulder in a park we frequented in Watford. The dog got a bit excited.

Tabs, forgive me from going off topic.

It's looks lovely but I would be afraid that someone would jump out of those bushes .

I doubt anyone would hide in them, Muddy, they are full of thorns - hawthorn, bramble and briar. Besides which on the other side of the hedge are group homes for the severely mentally handicapped - so security is high.

I prefer a Max. He saw off a gang of three aggressive pit bulls a week or so ago. The power of the eye was enough.

And so gentle with his little friends.

Does Max do a 'hard stare' like Paddington Bear, Besoeker?

That would be scary!!

Re: Along the Bóithrín

I love those little hideaway cut throughs and ginnels Tabby, as a postman you get to know all the little shortcuts and hidden paths.....You learn things about your neighbourhood that you didn't realise existed....Nowadays I run down a lot of those hedge lined neglected little paths out of the way of the traffic....
