We had the same. we had to list what was being left and taken, even down to internal light fittings and door handles.

When we bought this place the previous owners stated they were going to take a golden rose out of the garden as it had sentimental value

Not only that but any neighbour disputes, apart from the normal survey report stuff had to be mentioned.

Her solicitor would/ should have gone through all this at the time
The questionaire was several pages long, which is now a requirement when moving house

Yes we had to fill in a questionnaire about what we are taking and leaving.

I wouldn't dream of leaving my House in a mess for someone else to clean.

Poor communication from who? Me? Just because I didn't elaborate on my sister's health or situation you thought that gave you the right for your comments?
