Does anyone else have too many hobbies?

I'm terrible.....

Ham Radio
Knife collecting
Shooting
Fountain pens
Watches
RC Helicopters
Guitar
Motorbikes

I tend to flit between them.
For example, sometimes I'll not touch one of my radios for days as I'm into say pens at that time, then the pens get ignored for weeks and I'm mad into say knives for days.

Anyone else the same?

Re: Does anyone else have too many hobbies?

I don't really have time for hobbies what with working 2 jobs and caring for my dad and family but there are things I do like to do which I'm not sure would be classed as hobbies but anyway they are:

Musical Theatre
Cinema
Socialising when I get the time

I did start cardmaking but I've just not had time to do it so I ended up giving my craft stuff away to my niece who I know will make use of it.

I used to LOVE CB Radio many moons ago, that was a real hobby of mine, I was called Commodore Lady and my husband was called Bandit as in one armed bandit as he lost his arm in an accident back in 1986. Miss those days actually.

Not so many at the moment because I don't have time for them working nights. It's basically music and the gym.

I do intend to buy a Hull FC rugby league season ticket later this year which will get me back into that again after so long, but then it's getting to see the games. They usually fall on a Friday so that would be okay.

Fender and others, it's absolutely essential that you have plenty of hobbies lined up for when you retire as it's a big cause of decaying health not to

So did I,

Used to go on the "fox hunts" etc - great days.
It was illegal at the time and half the fun was avoiding the cops and not getting caught with one in the car...

Re: Does anyone else have too many hobbies?

I have far too many hobbies to keep up with
There’s :
woodworking
wood carving
painting
singing
saxophone playing
sewing
gardening
baking
Jewelry maker

Seeing your motorcycle collection, you are a serious collector / hobbiest so I can understand your frustration. That’s the most impressive collection of bikes I’ve ever seen anyone own.
I don’t even have one measly motor bike any more.

I have several Guitars, and a Summer Car, like Floydy, I spend a lot of time working and exercising, so hobbies are on the back burner, but, the infrastructure is still in place, for when the time is right.

Hate to admit it, but, I also have a couple of Bicycles ()
and a fleet of model aircraft.

I only have two now - sold the first one in that thread.
It's my main interest tbh, just the sense of freedom you get whilst riding. It's quite nice to have a couple, as they are very different to ride. One is quite quick / sporty and the other more like a comfy sunday afternoon country lane cruiser.

So did I, my handle was Equus & none of the truckers could say it so they used to call for eggwhisk. I made a lot of friends through CB radio until the Italian skip got so bad that no one could hear anyone else & most of us gave up.

Yes I do collect far too much, horses, Charlie bears, Steiff & other makes of Teddy bears & soft toys, including dragons. I also collect horse brooches & DVD's & have a lot of other items. My house is a hoarders house.
Other hobbies are car boot sales, charity shops, A&C fairs & flea markets, which is mostly where I buy my collecting passions.

So you have the best of both worlds; a crotch rocket for peak speed & performance and a cruiser for leisure biking.
You have a very understanding wife.
