Advice

Advice, should you dish it out, if you can't take it?

Re: Advice

Advice is good if you are prepared to take it. It can help clarify things but we are still individuals. Advice and opinion are different

Re: Advice

I offer advice to my daughter but it gets ignored , she then goes to friends who give her the same advice as I gave and she then tells me what they have said and does it

Hmmmmm

Of course. That's because we older people are doddering old fools who know nothing.

As for giving advice, I am happy to give advice if it is asked for and, of course, if I know enough about the subject to do so.

Re: Advice

I only give advice to adults if asked for it. Children are different; my grandchildren get their old granny's wisdom, whether they appreciate it or not.

Re: Advice

I never give advice, I just tell you what I have done in a situation and what the outcome was.....Then it's up to you....

My neighbour who lives in an identical bungalow to ours asked me how many rolls of wallpaper it took to do the lounge. I told him eight. The next time I saw him he remarked that he had two rolls left over......Yes, I said, so did I....

Re: Advice

I give advice and I take advice but I reserve the right not yo take if it doesn't seem right to me.
