Chap who was across the ward from him was wheel chaired in and is apparently bed bound at home but the physio says he should be able to walk like my husband because his operation was less intrusive.
Good point Julie, you have to be prepared to do your part to get better. Your husband has the will to do that even though it's not easy.

The wasted GP appointments are denying others who may really need an appointment access to one and it all adds to the waste of time which is costing money. I think there should be a charge for them.

Re: GP's charging?

These wasted appointments are everywhere.
You see notices up in hospitals about it as well as the GP's. Even the Opticians had a notice on their wall, saying how many missed appointments occurred in one month. I think its very wrong not to turn up without letting them know. We had a thread on this not long back.

I think it's about responsibility, I do think that people were more responsible in the past and they didn't take things for granted. If you think there is a never ending supply of something and it will always be there you take it for granted.
It's abit like taking the planet and its resources for granted, in the end we have to take care of what we value if it's to last.

Yes Mups, and it's probably the same culprits not turning up. I know it's like that in the hospital. Mucks it up for the rest of us.

The gp's got lucky when nurses started seeing patients and taking bloods. Then they just put symptoms into their pc. It'll be robodoc next

If not, it would have to be more drastic action then.

With only 36 characters allowed on our online box! Spend about five minutes trying to condense the 'reason for appointment'. I booked an online appointment today, for Wednesday. I like it! Phone up and you'll probably be offered 3 weeks away.
