Re: Quatermass

Have any of you seen the technicolour cinema version of Quatermass and the Pit? It is good and the aliens somehow look worse in colour - but I still prefer the original b/w TV series.

No, I haven't seen that version ST.

Mrs LD says she remembers seeing the original when she was a young girl and it frightened the life out of her.

Re: Quatermass

I think it was The Quatermass Xperiment that had my friend an I running around the room shouting, "NO!" as a trickle of blood came down a tube. A large tube, vital to the aliens plan, had been opened by some of the goodies. Other humans who were under alien influence trimmed their bodies to size and used them seal the tube again. "NO!"

We were only 11 or 12 years old.

Re: Quatermass

We were too young so not allowed to watch it. I do remember going into the lounge (pretending I wanted something ) when it was on TV and seeing some people at a tea bar in the street and everything seemed to be blowing away.

Memory says that we definitely weren't allowed to watch Quatermass, but having no restrictions re watching Your Life in Their Hands. (Anyone remember that series?)
