Most of all the 70s introduced me to my man who became my husband and best mate.

Oh yes, those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end..............I wish they didn't!

Thank you bringing those memories to me Paula.
It’s great to walk down memory lane. I often think if I knew then what I now, there are a few different turns that I would have done over or better. So glad you have such treasured memories.

All of it. I had a good time, Thank you.

And I loved the music throughout.
Seriously, if you had to choose just 1 decade that stands out, what would it be?

Mid-60's to Mid-70s.

A fair mix of music to suit all tastes in the charts then. My preference was R&B, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and progressive bands like Deep Purple, Led Zepplin, and Hawkwind. 73-onwards saw the advent of crap (IMO) like Bay City Rollers and Mud. Luckily, music readjusted itself to something half decent from 1978 into the 80s.

Oh I don't know. If this thread is about music, I'd say the 80s were a bit disappointing. The Smiths being the most remarkable act.

You don't hear many old folk raving about the 90s but ....

Blur, Oasis, Stone Roses, Suede, REM, Nirvana, Travis, The Verve, Stereophonics, Radiohead .... Brit Pop 'n Grunge.

The 70s as a decade....all grown up, married and on our own, had my two kids, making adult decisions that no one could fault, bought our first new home, and the music.....oh, yeah.
Of course, the 60s music and Motown might be the a close second.

So, the music made the decade! Nice stuff! Not heavy metal? Def Leppard, AC/DC, Aerosmith?

How wonderful, to finally be independent and responsible! That feeling is just the best!
