Surely my original version wouldn't be the 2004 one that you are all posting about?

And what should I expect if I allow this update?

I normally allow all the updates, but this one seems to put some of my files in jeopardy, am I right?
You can check your version by clicking start and then the cog icon to take you to settings. Click on System and then on about at the bottom of the screen.

Version 1903 Installed on 13/08/19
Surely it can't be out of date already...

Yes. You surely can't think that Microsoft could go a whole year without demanding we install another update.

Personally, I really can't see the need as I usually manage to avoid them and have never yet seen any improvement when I eventually give in to a download.

I have to say that I do happily accept all the Windows Security updates.

Good news guys, I downloaded the the update, which took thirty minutes incidentally, and everything seems to be okay. No loss of files or programmes......Can't see any difference to be honest, but I suppose the magic is done in the gubbins....

Same here, this laptop was offerred this update last night so I accepted it and all is well. I have had a desktop already update to 2004 so i wasn't expecting trouble.

I don't know what the fuss is about I just let WIN10 up date as and when it wants I have never run into any problems. The only thing I do check is to make sure all the privacy settings remain set to "off"
