Hope you don't mind me saying this, but I prefer your water colour, acrylic & drawn pictures, though I can see you want to try more mediums. Not that the oil is bad, but the others are better.

No I don’t mind at all .
Oils when finished hopefully have a deep rich colour but they are ( I find ) difficult to control

My friend paints in various mediums, but with oils she plasters the paint on.

That is impasto painting .
It’s not something I have tried .

My aim in painting animals is to make them appear touchable .

I think it is all down to our personal taste Tiff! We all know that Muddy has artistic talent, but I can't wait to see the finished oil painting because I love the texture of oil paintings.

Science lessons were my favourite at school & I still have great interest in Biology & Chemistry..... but even drawing a realistic matchstick man would be difficult for me!
