I don't mind the lightning, its the golf ball sized (and bigger) hail that I don't like but where I live the escarpment being so close to the ocean tends to kill severe weather.

It's 8.30 pm. Haven't heard a rumble or seen a flash yet. But bracing ourselves as Tex (dog) goes berserk at thunder even if it's miles away. :O

Bruce, Hail stones are particularly painful if you are bald!
Have you got a helmet?

I hope your area got away with it lightly for damage.

It was a fizzer where I live, absolutely zero rain and only a slightly gusty wind. Spent its fury on areas west of the Great Dividing Range
