"The Good Old Days"

I've just been watching "The Good Old Days" (1983 Xmas Special)on BBC 4, I'd forgotten just how enjoyable it was!

Even more so for me now as it's quite similar to some of our Steampunk entertainment.

I thought it was on TV much before the 80's!

I'd love something like that on a Saturday evening when there seems to be rubbish on of late.

Which TV entertainment shows from days gone by would you like to see back?

I don't remember the series but I have read the books .... So funny

I've just watched You Make Me Feel Like Dancing ... Wish I'd have been part of it .... Bolton's not too far from where I live

There's only one thing wrong with Bolton .... my ex-husband lives there

As they would say on "The Good Old Days", "Myrtle our own, our very own terpsichorean princess!"

The Good Old Days was broadcast from the Variety Theatre in Leeds and some years ago Sheila and I were invited to take a look inside there. It is a masterpiece of the decor of it's era......a lovely theatre.

Re: "The Good Old Days"

I have a picture of my parents dressed up in Victorian garb from when they were part of the audience when an episode was being recorded, I seem to remember they enjoyed it immensely.
