St Georges day

To Day I flew 2 flags of St George on my motor, one of my neighbours hung one out side his bedroom window.

Any one else.

In the city of London they held a St Georges day parade for the first time for over 500 years.

Anyway they will come in handy for the World Cup when we will kick arse to the rest of the world

Re: St Georges day

Nothing much on the news.

It`s OUR national day-much as it another`s day.

St George and slay a dragon-eat roast beef,

I`m English and it`s my country.

I couldn`t give a toss about St George but I do worry if powers that be find celebrating a day somehow `racist`

Got the link this time . . . earlier it just wouldn't load . . . wonderful stuff, . . you don't need to fly abroad with events like this going on all year . . . Britain is a wonderful land steeped in history . . . go see it all and save the climate, cancel your flights and live a little.

Re: St Georges day

As an English man I always fly a flag on St Georges day, have done for over 50yrs.

I believe that we should have a national holiday as other nations do on their Saint's day.
The problem is, other nationalities claim racism when we try to celebrate St Georges day and they also claim racism if anyone coplains about their Saints day celebrations.

The UK has become so multi cultural it would cost a fortune to grant public holidays to everyone . . . the SNP had planned to make St Andrews day a public one but it was shelved.
