Archbishop of Caterbury sounds off
The Archbish of Cant is suggesting that the Americans should have made more effort to take bin Laden alive to put him on trial and accuses them of Wild West frontier style justice. He also says that they should show film of what happened and should have buried him on land.Well my dear Archbish:
1. Can you imagine how many hostages would be taken around the World to try and secure his release whilst he was in prison and on trial?
2. Can you imagine the shrine and incitement to jihad that his grave would become?
3. Can you imagine what outrage would be shown and what revenge would be screamed for, if his mutilated body was shown.
Finally Archbish, far from everyone being uncomfortable about how things were handled, as you have suggested, I would like to point out that there are at least 360 million Americans and probably millions more around the world who completely disagree with you.
It is a rough old world Archbish and you also should grow up. Even in the Bible it says that those who live by the sword can expect to die by the sword.

He has got a lot of form when it comes to putting his Doc Martens in his mouth.Not all that long ago he caused a rumpus by saying that certain parts of Sharia Law should become part of British Law.
Perhaps his finest hour recently was to support the notion that prison inmates should be allowed to vote, saying something to the effect that these poor misjudged souls should keep their dignity and their rights should not be put in the fridge whilst they serve time.
In effect he was supporting scum like the killer John Hirst who took an axe to his landlady.
Worth listening to ? somehow I think not.
