I wonder which member state will be next to "smell the coffee" and escape.
As parliament is sovereign (even before brexit), it is your citizens representation that is asking. That's how it works in a democracy.

Polls in EU countries show such high approval ratings of membership the EU. All thanks to brexit and how it develops.
Here’s results of some most-recent polls on "membership approval" of the EU.

Denmark 73%
Ireland 86%
France 68%
Spain 85%
Portugal 92%
Italy 71%
Malta 85%
Greece 75%
Austria 88%
Finland 75%
Sweden 73%
Netherlands 76%
Belgium 84%
Germany 82%
Luxembourg 94%
Lithuania 89%
Poland 85%
Croatia 75%

Parliament was not sovereign while we were a member of the EU.

Oh? So parliament didn't pass any bills during 47 years of membership? Lazy bunch!

According to "Brexiteers," the UK would set an example of what a newly independent, buccaneering nation could achieve. In proving the opposite, Brexit has ironically helped cement ties among the 27 remaining EU nations.

The reality is that the EC controlled what was done in and by the UK directly and indirectly.

Anyway we'll soon be at the end of the transition period and then we can start to repair the horrendous damage that has resulted by loss of our sovereignty and independence. First to get rid of --- the ECHR. Then the filth that it has been protected by it.

It would seem that the control was necessary to keep your country from breaking their word. Now you're showing your true colours.......

The UK signed up to the echr, moreover, it is one of the founding members. You are one of those protected by it.

I agree. I'm beginning to realise that she is actually worse than BLiar, and that would take some doing.

The ECHR was established to prevent a resurgence of REAL racism and not this load of crap that has been included and is corrupting the word. There is NOTHING in it that is of ANY advantage to English people. In fact the precise opposite.

Then you are right. The echr failed in the UK. Real racism has resurged there....

Ignoring racism won't make it go away.
