I came home to this.

After the recent glorious weather and a great 4 days at the Isle of Man TT, I arrived home yesterday and was met by this.

The roundabout near my house had disappeared under water, a bridge had collapsed and an old lady had to be rescued using a wheelie bin.

Welcome home.

Yes, luckily.

I live a couple of hundred yards from there, uphill, fortunately.

The shop, on the roundabout, was shut due to flood water ingress.

Hi Terry

Is that Bramhall? It's been pretty bad in this village too but not my end.
Glad you're ok.

Sad about Paul Shoesmith at the TT. He was a regular in my store too.

Yes, the big roundabout at Bridge lane.

He was a good friend, I've known him since I was 18.
We(bikers)used to go to the Cat & Fiddle and Matlock regularly.

He was at my Poynton home house warming party when it was finished, he ended up swimming in the pool

A great guy with heaps of character.
