Mups when I came on that morning and logged into the Limericks thread this limerick came up. So I answered it. A computer glitch perhaps. Sorry for not explaining that at the time or deleting the incorrect thread. We blokes like you sheilas are only human.

I think your reply was too long, here is the rule to limericks....

A limerick is a humorous poem consisting of five lines. The first, second, and fifth lines must have seven to ten syllables while rhyming and having the same verbal rhythm. The third and fourth lines should only have five to seven syllables; they too must rhyme with each other and have the same rhythm.

You will be welcomed on the Limerick thread if you use the right number of syllables.... but I am sure Mups will forgive you this time...... unless you break any more rules!

First time I have played limericks with such rules and regulations on correct syllable structure.

My post just gave the definition of what a limerick is, so it isn't rules & regulations it just helps the poem flow of the tongue easily. I wasn't criticizing, I was just trying to explain... sorry if it looked like criticism!
