Fine - for a very thin pouring type of custard. I prefer something a bit more robust - so I always do add a little cornflour. Obviously for pastry custard (I won't speak french) I would use more.

Depends on how many yolks you use. A minimum of eight and extra double cream makes all the difference.

For somebody who likes to show his cooking knowledge, what culinary masterpieces do you make with custard powder?

Trifle or maybe a bread pudding. What else? Can't waste proper custard on them.

Right. I am back!
That's enough of all this frivolity and talk about flippin' custard - powdered or otherwise.

I can see once more those men have been in, being their usual disruptive selves.
They do this hoping it will distract us ladies, so they can sit around, feeding their faces, and generally making a mess again.
Now they have all cleared off, and left me to hoover up, Typical!



I'm locking the door now ladies, so's I can start me tea in peace. You've all got your keys if you need anything.

Mups - you've gone and locked Dongles in - he was snoring behind the sofa - probably drunk again. Heaven knows what state the place will be in when you open up again.

If he's been sick he can clean it up himself = preferably with his tongue!!
