Confused Newbie

Hi all
I am new here (as you probably correctly assumed from my title ) , is this site forum only or am I missing a chat section?!!
Looking for enlightenment!!

Just Look down the front home page, and you will see Over50s Chat.
Loadsa stuff there, and you will get enlightened alright!

"Chat" on here is Private Messaging
And you have to be a member for 3 months before you can do that
In the meantime you can post on peoples' homepage
Or chat during posts on threads..
