Gosh that could have had such a different ending ! Almost put our late Rosie chihuahua in the wash when she was just 12 weeks old, our other dogs went mad and stopped me turning the machine on or that could have had a sad end. Made me much more careful with our tiniest dogs and it's never happened since thankfully.

It's so easy with cats as they are so inquisitive and have little fear when they are kittens. We make a point these days of always keeping the washing machine door shut and having a quick check before using. Even now they are fully grown, they still get into strange places.One of my cats got under the floorboards in the living room when I was renovating and crawled through a 4" vent pipe into the cellar which is accessed from the garden.
