I am still in my night clothes ,my bed is unmade.

Yes I am up and dressed. Bed made. I was up at 6.30. Dogs have been out for a good run in the fields and woods. I have taken the grandchildren to school and have just turned the laptop on. It's great to be up and out early at this time of year - everything is fresh and new and the sun has got it's hat on. Won't last; storms later - thunder, hailstones and pouring rain.

Had to be up early and dressed. Got the flat valuer arriving at any time now.

Seldom do I get myself sorted out ready for the day much before midday. Working long hours for more than two decades on permanent night shifts have ensured my circadian rhythm (body clock) is almost non-existent anyway. That's definitely the reason why I am not geared towards being about and functioning early in the day so I don't fight it, just find ways to live with it.

I was around 9am after a nice lie-in after yesterday's exertions. I made the bed - well, shook the duvet nice and tidy - and dressed in scruffs for slobbing around the house.

Our bed is always unmade till later in the afternoon.We like to pull the duvet back and open the window for some bracing June air.
