Plant a Tree

Did anyone see Chris Packham on Ch.5 last night?
He is working with the Woodland Trust to try and get 100,000 trees planted in the UK and they are asking for donations to help with climate change.

Unlike some Charities who are asking for quite large amounts, or regular donations, with this worthwhile cause you can donate anything from just £1.50.

It's very interesting what they are doing I thought.
Too many trees are being destroyed.

Re: Plant a Tree

What a great idea Mups.
Thank you for posting it ,
I potted up a load of little oaks that had grown from acorns in my garden and took them to the local primary school who were happy to have them they had been doing a project on oaks .
Saved me from planting them ( I canít bear to kill little trees .)
I am happy to donate to this .

Re: Plant a Tree

It's a race between planting trees or building houses round here, and the houses are winning. There are also quite a few mega warehouses that have been built and are still standing empty.
Don't waste your pensions on this fools errand, you have worked hard all your lives and you deserve to enjoy life to the full now, and despite what anyone tells you the climate will take care of itself.
