Election Gerrymandering

The barstewards in the scumbag 'nasty party' can't even be trusted to run their own internal elections without allegations of gerrymandering - pathetic !!!

Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt in final two to become next Prime Minister

Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt will battle it out in the race to be Britain's next Prime Minister.

Michael Gove was eliminated from the competition by a margin of just two votes after Tory MPs held their fifth ballot to chose the party's next leader on Tuesday afternoon.

After the result was announced, rumours began to circulate that Mr Johnson's team 'lent' votes to Mr Hunt as they viewed him as an easier opponent in the final two.

It followed a day of speculation in Westminster that Mr Johnson's camp would attempt to engineer a way to prevent Mr Gove making the final pair.

When asked about the manoeuvres the former foreign secretary denied being involved in any "dark arts".

Tory former minister Greg Hands, a supporter of Jeremy Hunt, dismissed suggestions that Mr Johnson's team could have lent Mr Hunt some votes to ensure Mr Gove didn't make the final two.

Hi

Get real UJ.

You are a Marxist, a supporter of the former USSR.

Fixed Elections and no Democracy.

I had 3 Polish Babchas here last night.

They all had the same story,

They had to give sexual favours to the Local Communist Committee to get a job locally.

Simply not on, but you support it.

That is so, so wrong.

Sounds like the american film industry with their harvey weinsteins. Communists, imperialists, they all want the same. I wonder how it works in the (british) music industry?

Re: Election Gerrymandering

I rather like The Netherlands, in fact all of Holland. So do most British people.

Maybe that's why so many Brits gave their lives not to mention arms and legs liberating them in WW2 .......

I'll ask my family in law. I'm from surinam, a former colonie of the netherlands, and have a different view on that.
But I know many dutch are very grateful to your grandparents who had a lot of courage. I wouldn't be that sure of your grandparents grandchildren. They seem rather soft and given to moaning instead of actions.

It should be remembered that despite the 24-hour coverage of brexit in the UK, most europeans are barely aware, if aware at all, of brexit. That includes many in the countries likely to be most-negatively affected. The consequences of a no deal brexit will be an unexpected shock to large numbers of people, and those who are affected and who saw their country and themselves as close allies of the UK, such as the dutch, will be the most hostile. Mark Rutte, the dutch pm, is prominent right now in his open criticisms of the UK precisely because he is aware of what will likely play out, and he doesn’t want to be seen by his citizens as having been in the lead-up either supine or unconcerned.

Do you have proof Joe? sounds more like whinging from sore losers. At least, thank goodness, we have a Brexit supporting candidate in the driver's seat at the moment, up against a Remain turncoat who I would never trust to have Brexit voters best interests at heart, especially after exactly the same as Hunt, has just been kicked out of office.

I still think of Boris as a bit of a Buffoon and easily manipulated, but as long as he has a strong team around him, carry on - for now anyway. One sign of doublecross or weakness over Brexit, don't fret, Nigel is here, standing in the wings, waiting to do the job.
