Now reading the perfect neighbours a physiological thriller only a few pages in but I'm gripped.
Oh wow I'm very near the end of the perfect neighbour and the twist is incredible !

Hi

How to understand women, Volume 137.

Volumes 1 to 136 were no use at all.

Re: What book are you reading now?

I have just finished this book which I won in a raffle at the Royal engineers meeting.
Don't know why it's sideways sorry.

It's the diary that he wrote during the first world war. Even his family didn't know about it till they were clearing the loft of his home after he died.
An interesting read.

Re: What book are you reading now?

Have just stumbled across Susan Hill's series of detective novels featuring Simon Serailler. I'm hooked - was up till all hours last night. First time that's happened in years.

Re: What book are you reading now?

I've read simply bits and pieces, 15 minutes here or there of some US true crime book, not really getting into it at all due to my hospital stay and operating on adrenaline half the time.

Looking forward to gaining back my concentration over the next few days.

Re: What book are you reading now?

I'm reading a very odd book, probably because I can't find one in our library that I haven't read!
It's called "The End of Days" by Jenny Erpenbeck.

Bumf describes it as "...a novel that pulls apart the threads of destiny and allows us to see the present and past anew"
"Erpenbeck is one of the finest authors alive" says Michel Faber.

Winner or the English Pen Award and The Hans Fallada Prize!

Oooo! Really?
I'm half way through it and totally confused.
