We used to play croquet at my father in laws have a three generation play off. It was not a sport for the faint at heart. It was ruthlessly competitive "roqueting" opponents balls into the flower beds, forming alliances hastily. Some of the best fun we had with the kids and like all things in life completely ridiculous.
