Drinking and eating

Do you drink, water or whatever while you eat?
I eat cereal first then drink my tea in the mornings but if I eat a larger, cooked meal I drink fruit juice or water every now and then, through the meal.

Are there health benefits either way?

No Tess darlin' generally don't drink anything at all till I've had my breakfast, then a large mug of black coffee, sometimes topped with a small tot of Brandy slides down very nicely.

I have a glass of fresh orange juice when I am first up, then breakfast is usually tea - toast - more tea.

Water with lunch and frequently throughout the day.

Red or white wine with dinner or, if I am being good, more water.

Glass of milk before going to bed.

As for health benefits - well - I am still on the green side of the grass!

Re: Drinking and eating

What I'm getting at is, during each meal, do you drink while you eat, as in every few mouthfuls, or when you've finished eating?
It doesn't matter what you're drinking.
I didn't explain very well in op.
I wonder if it helps digestion to drink whilst eating?

No, I don't like drinking while I'm eating. Before or after is fine.

Same as Longdogs, as much as I like my glasses of wine, I will have a glass prior to eating, and one after. Unless it's a dinner party, whereby chatting is involved whilst eating.

I drink during the meal Tess. Usually I have a water or tea.
Breakfast I drink coffee during the meal also.

I think it helps digestion if you drink while eating.

Aha! That's what I think too but I wonder if it's true.
I guess I'll have to search on Google, but I'd rather hear from you folks.
