Re: Scared ?????

When I went into hospital eventually after 2 previous painful stomach aches the eventually after scans found I had a highy inflamed gall bladder and tests showed blood poisoning. It took 4 weeks to sort out the blood poisoning before they could operate to remove it. When I was told not long afterwards that I may not have come out of hospital alive that really scared me .

I think you’ll find Consultant/Surgeons always tell you the risk before having an operation, Realspeed. My husband was told the same with all his ops as was my SIL who had a tumour removed from his head last year .... he was told this as he was already prepared to go down for his op.

Not to me but to Sue or I don't remember, in too much pain, even ketamine didn't help and that is the strongest pain killer one can have, usually used on animals.

Re: Scared ?????

I was given the risk %ages of the surgical options that faced me recently. It's a given these days for all medical practitioners to do this, even your GP when doing your annual check up.
