Yes I have heard of him. One of the offenders will not do it again and the other might just think twice. That's what I think and have absolutely no time for those who invade another's property, with the aim of taking what is not their's. Most people work hard for what they have. Others are just lazy 'no-goods', they take what they want and so should expect to receive whatever happens to them if caught in the course of doing so. The property is not their's, it belongs to someone else.
In the instance of Tony Martin, had those two not broken into the house intent on stealing, there would have been none of the legal argument about whether what one of them received was murder or manslaughter.

You really should hear what goes on and what gets stolen in rural areas, it's unbelieveable, property of all kinds is at risk. Farmers stand to lose livestock of all kinds, diesel fuel, farm machinery both big and small. It's just the same for farmers as it is for us, a theft means insurance goes up so that is no different to domestic thefts. Someone has to pay the cost of this when farmers claim on their insurance and it's us, on our food etc.
