The whole alleged and subsequently proven garbage that the Russian government were involved with this POTUS election are black hearted lies invented by Democrats. If there was one iota of proof that there had been influence to the result of even involvement it would be writ in letters high and bright across the sky.
There is none. It was pure BS that appeals to people who WANT it to be true.

It has ceased to be! It ended in 1991!
Today there is the Russian Federation. It is nothing like the USSR politically or economically..
It is not Communist. That went down the pan when the USSR ended and was a major reason for the collapse of the USSR.
In many ways life in Russia itself is very much to be preferred to that of Joe Public in the USA.
But sadly so many people, especially in the (dis)United States of America can't or won't grasp that the USSR is OVER. It is no more.
However for askhouls like Barack Hussein resurrecting a long dead potential enemy was just too good an opportunity to let by especially as Russia was beating the hell out of islamic terrorists hell bent on deposing the democratically elected Bashar al-Assad.
A huge lost opportunity for the American public to gain a wonderful ally against a common enemy that we all face lost for reasons we can only speculate about.
Hussein. Hrm, that says a great deal in itself.
