Re: Has anyone got ....?
I think this is a tall one Pats...Re: Has anyone got ....?
I have only just spotted this so sorry if my response is a little late. I personally would not recommend any sort of high loo seat. It would be far healthier to use some sort of 'pull bar' to be honest. Why? well in fact the lower one is forced to 'squat' (as it were) the better it is for achieving a good and thorough b.m. When I was first a nurse, way way back when, I did a stint on a geriatric ward and in those days the ladies and gents usually spent most of their time in bed, no exercise, frequent constipation. One sister would regularly hand out laxatives of varying strengths, the other would hand out newspapers. Newspapers? I hear you ask. Well she would send them off to the bathroom and instruct them to lay the paper on the floor, and squat over it. This would have three effects, one gravity, two it 'opened' the passage, and three it utilised the strength of the abdominal and thigh muscles. Guess which patients suffered the least from the problem? So although a 'high-rise' seat may make it easier to get back to your feet, it will actually make it harder to 'evacuate'. Sorry if the content of this has offended anyone but after all it is a natural process.Re: Has anyone got ....?
