Tell The Truth...Do You Dodge Charity Collectors In The Supermarkets?

Are you one of those who look the other way when you see charity collectors rattling their tins at you as you enter the supermarket?
Do you give generously or do you quicken your step in order to dodge them?!!

Depends on the charity if I donate or not,if I support the charity anyway I don't put money in the box.

Re: Tell The Truth...Do You Dodge Charity Collectors In The Supermarkets?

I give to charities in other ways. At the moment i've given about £300 in quality goods as i'm moving house and i'm still bagging stuff up for them so i think it's better than a few pence in a box... Also a few years back i gave about 20 bags of clothing..
I think that should keep the shops open for a while longer and the poorer people to buy cheaper things, and let the charity earn a few bob thats my view...

I now walk past, once I would have donated.
Now it is all the time every time, what are they doing putting folk on a guilt trip?

Plus now charity donations read , donate £25 . Are people being paid to much?

Quite often there are charity collectors in the foyer of our local Morrisons and I have to admit that I do always stop and give some loose change to them these days ..I used to avoid and evade lol but think now I ought to be able to spare some loose change to give.

Re: Tell The Truth...Do You Dodge Charity Collectors In The Supermarkets?

I don't mind putting a few coins in for any worthy charity but, if it is not a charity that I would choose to support, I just walk past them. I never give large sums as you cannot be sure what the money will be used for.
